Terrific advice on the practicality of insurance, etc when making that leap.

On the subject of "attend every class" as the ONLY requirement: This blows. PERIOD. Having been in higher ed in some form most of my career, that requirement in no way reflects reality in entrepreneurship or otherwise. I'm glad you can hold to the standard and not feel bad, but it feels grotesquely antiquated.

To add some context, it's only for that particular class. It's a week-long, online, 2 hour per day mini-course. There are no assignments... the class is literally "show up because this is where the learning happens." That's why attendance is required. If students don't show up for a day, they already missed 20% of the class.

no assignments... so how do we know learning occurred? mini course, 8 weeks, 16 weeks.- attendance, while important if measuring practical applications makes sense. pretty much just being exclusively the only measure doesn't sound like it would measure much? It would also seem to diminish against other credits that have measurement?
